Hello, Welcome to my digital portfolio!
Hi, My name is Kimberly Heather Palmatier, and I'm an education major at Delhi!
I was born in Delhi, and I have lived here my whole life since. My parents are divorced, and have been since I was young. I have two brothers and a sister and I have taken in my mother’s boyfriend as my father, and his daughter as my sister. I have been a caretaker for children since I was ten and have made a habit of helping people since. I was enrolled in the DCMO BOCES program for the last two years as an early childhood education student and have fallen in love with the program. Starting out as a child at the age of seven I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I knew this because I was inspired. Watching my teacher, Mrs. Burns teach and interact with my classmates and myself, made me want to be like her. I wanted little kids to look up to me like I did to her. As for my future I dream of continuing my education here at SUNY Delhi, getting my associates degree in 2 years. I then plan on transferring as a junior to SUNY Oneonta to get my bachelors and masters degrees in Early Childhood Education. My ultimate goal is to become a kindergarten teacher to pursue my childhood dream. After I complete my education, I also have personal goals set for myself. After I get my associates degree, I plan on getting married to start on my own family. After I receive my master’s degree and find a teaching job at a school close to my hometown, I would like to have children of my own to complete my family.
